Description
Hot Mulled Spiced Blackberry Wine Mix with a sachet bag of autumn spices to mull.
Our recipe is incredibly easy to make and so cozy and delicious. Our Blackberry Mix comes with a tied spice bag full of cloves, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg dried orange, and dried cranberries. Comes in 1 cup bag
The best red wine to use for mulled wine is Merlot or Zinfandel. These wines are dark, fruity and full bodied, which means they can support all of the flavors we'll be adding. Look for labels that describe the wine as “jammy” or with “notes of vanilla. OR use hot cider.
Drop our spice bag into a pot of wine (one bottle) and add 3 cups water. You can even add a shot or two of brandy.
Simmer. Cook the mulled wine on medium-high heat until it just barely reaches a simmer. (Avoid letting it bubble, you don’t want to boil off the alcohol.) Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the wine simmer for 15 minutes to 3 hours. You can even use a crock pot! Virgin: swap wine for apple cider
